One post one song. Not any song, but those that have once opened a window, still do or simply just did. Old songs, new songs, long, short, master pieces, out of tune... simply my songs. The idea is to share them, no aim to influence you in any way. You may like them, you may not, but at least, I will have told you about them.

Un breton a poile dans le canapé
Well, back to my trip to London. Monday was me and my Chardonnay, but the rest of the week happen to be very interesting. Unexpected I must say.
TUESDAY
After the second day of training I met Ian from Liverpool. Cool guy that invited me to go to the city centre, where he was meeting a friend. Frank also from Liverpool. The journey on the tube was never-ending, 45 mins on Picadilly line and then almost 15mins waiting for the exchange train that would take us to Nothing Hill. Once there a worthy pint was waiting for us. Then we went for dinner to a Turkish restaurant. Quite deceiving, but we had fun there. The waitress was Brazilian, and was her 2nd day in the job and in London. It took us a while to order… and even more to ask for the wine. After me rushed for Soho where we enchained the bars until we ended in O’Conners, or something like this. Live music and more drinks. We took a cab back to the hotel. I don’t remember who paid the car, but I have the receipt. Maybe i did...
WEDNESDAY
Hard morning couldn’t leave the bed on time for the training. Shame on me, I know. After much struggling for a couple of hours I manage to get ready for another day of learning. Of course I was late, veeeery late. Shame on me! In the evening I was meeting Lenka, a colleague from Prague also at London that week. Greg ,French class mate, came with us. We went to an Italian restaurant in south Kensington. Not very good. Then we went for a drink (again) and took the last train home. In the subway, it was like an mad house. People completely stunned everywhere. Some couldn’t even walk at all while others were spilling out their entrails eveywhere. It was incredible (disgusting), on a Wednesday at just 00h00!!
THURSDAY
On Thursday we were invited to a X-mas lunch in the training centre. Lovely! The food as usual, what can I say… Back at the hotel I decided to exercise a bit. I went for some fitness and sauna. Very relaxing. To the point of seriously thinking about staying in my room. But, this little voice kept reminding me that it was my last night in the city… So I got dressed and went to burn the London night for a last time. It was Greg’s birthday; we went for Japanese, very funny as it was his first time dealing with the sushi and the maki. Then we went for some drinks and we ended in O’Conners again; the next morning woke us up in a club. Just time to get back to the hotel, quick shower and speed check out. I was only 5 minutes late! :)
FRIDAY
I will only say it was a long day, even though we finished at 14h. In the airport I thought I was not going to make it, what a caos! But here I am now, back and safe in Prague.
SATURDAY…
Wild night, as usual. Beers at Derek’s bar, dinner at Nostress, then visit to Casa Blu, dances at Zero, break in Bombay, more dances at Roxy and closing in Studio 54. As I said, it was wild!

Me and my Chardonnay
But who am I trying to fool… it’s always better with company. But not any company, of course, otherwise I prefer just me and my Chardonnay.
This afternoon I went to the pool. The healthy club it’s open until 10p.m. This time I have no excuse. The hotel has a nice fitness and pool center. In overall is ok, but far from NH Aviles. But that’s one of a kind. Such a charming hotel…mmmm
But I must say that for an English hotel, food it’s quite acceptable. I ate everything. After the swimming, the jacuzzi and the sauna, the Mrs. was hungry. I didn’t take much quantity, but I devoured almost everything I took. People go nuts in buffets, so much food is wasted. I remember in Las Vegas, in the morning buffet, so many foodstuffs were literally sent to the trash… simply unacceptable.
Maybe I shouldn’t have taken a glass of wine tonight. But somehow, I feel less lonely. Me and my Chardonnay. Should I get a desert? I can see lots of cakes on the counter…but the truth is I’m full. And I have fruit from lunch, up in the room. No desert for Mrs.
I feel great after the swim. I used to go swimming quite often as a teenager back in high school; several times every week. If I had trained more, I could have tried to take it more seriously. I was never brilliant at sports, but I was good in the water. :) Somehow my body is good for that, not that I can breathe under the water, or anything of that kind. The thing is I loved to do much stuff at the same time; I would have never dedicated all my time to just one fixation.
At that time I also sang on a band. So much fun, mostly because it was a secret, as my father had forbidden me to do so… Those days I wanted to be a singer… like Liz Phair with her “fuck&run”. Loved those punk days…

Monday is over...
You may bring your "mathos" for new years eve… :)
Monday it’s almost over, thank god! It’s been quite a long day at work, and I still need some rest to get over this weekend. Ruxi is giving a farewell party tomorrow in Aloha Club. It’s a pity she’s leaving, but it’s better for her. I understand her completely.
Now, who am I going to have breakfast with? I will be on my own, the only one in the team non Czech speaker. It’s going to be rough. Fine, if they speak Czech I will speak Spanish…to myself as there will be no one to answer me back…or maybe yes…
I will teach them!!! EA!

What else can i say…
Ptit Pascalou came and took us along for a hard to describe trip.
The first bits and every single muscle started moving in perfect harmony. The crow was out of control, pounding like maniacs. No time, no stress, only music.
Two dates, Friday in Brno and next day in Prague. But it was far much better in Roxy. The ambiance, the people, the club, everything. It was a exceptional night; many people came just to see him. Maxime, Guillaume’s friend was also good, really good.
Terrible live Vitalic! Really you made us move last night. Thanks for such a throbbing live!
Wish you all had been there to feel it too. As Tony says: “on reviendra!”
‘Till then…

The trip!
They won’t be back in Prague until the flowers will blossom once more in the parks. Not before the sun will bathe again our pale bodies. Pale like the vanished snow.

For more than 120 days they will be thousand of kilometres away heading south. Luckily for them, the summer just waked up down there. Not like here, where the days are getting colder and darker.
We’ll everything was ready for the adventure. Last Friday in town they had dinner with friends, perfect time to say “hasta la vista” and “good luck”. While we were still in bed and a new Monday was born, they were already at the terminal 2, ready for their first stop: the never sleeping and always fascinating city of Madrid J. I should talk more often about this city I was lucky to live in , I will, promise…
Back to my friends, it’s Monday morning in Madrid and they are searching for an idea get rid of their stuff and be free to fool around before the big step across the ocean. Bur first they check their next departure. And then… “LE DRAME”. Stupid to mistake 7p.m. for 7a.m. right?
It happens I know, but you never think it will happen to you. Money won’t buy you happiness, but in this case it helped. Some dollars on the desk, of course 4 hours of long discussions and you’re in next day’s flight. Aleluuuuuuuya!
Monday 22h30,I was home, lying on the couch when the phone started buzzing on the tea table. +420… from the Czech rep, but who? The worldttroters are stuck in Madrid. My eyes grow wider and wider as they recite their story. I can’t believe what I’m hearing. So stupid…
But they were not alone. My sweet George opened the door of his house and gave them a place to pass the night. I just asked him once, and he was ready to give a hand or two. George thanks for always being there for me and for the ones around. Thank you my dear Jorge, thanks pelos!!!!
That's what friends are for...hoy por ti... :)

Short film festival
We went on Thursday; I didn’t like all the films, but it got better towards the end. The very last one touched me deeply.
HIBERNATION (United Kingdom, 2005, Colour, 15min) by John Williams1985. A secret tree house. Two children disguised in animal costumes experiment to revive a bee. In fact, they are searching for a way to bring back something much bigger.
It didn’t win any award but I’ll remember the kindhearted story.
The second special mention was awarded to the French-Senegalese film OUSMANE directed by Dyane Gaye.
Jury verdict: We liked this film for the naiveté, generosity and brightness of childhood against the materialism of the adult world. Ousmane has nothing, but he is rich of his own imagination and dreams.
Ousmane, I wish I was a little bit like him sometimes… we all should be…

Weekend in Bresse
Flybaboo, sounds like Balu from the Jungle Book right? Well it’s a Geneva based regional airline that operates with three Dash 8 Q300 – i.e. 50 seats little plane. This small company offers interesting prices for lovely destinations such as:
- Ibiza, Valencia from CHF 149 o/w + taxes (nice...)
- Nice, St Tropez from CHF 69 o/w + taxes (interesting...)
- PRAGUE from CHF 69 o/w + taxes (are you kidding? Super Trouper!!)
- and others…
The Swiss know were to go and have fun, don’t they? We found this particular airline while searching for a low price rate to come to France. We paid 160€ for our tickets Prague-Geneve, and you wouldn’t say you are travelling in a low-cost airline. I must say we had a very pleasant fly; we had water and snacks during the flight. Offered for free!!! These Swiss are so nice!!!
Its Sunday again and tomorrow is our last day here in La Bresse. Remarkable weekend. Time to see the family, friends, and time to savour a delicious and tender piece of meat…mmmmmm TROP BON!!!
The Louhanais are doing well. Reub will finally have his driving license soon…good for him, but not so good for us…I guess. He waited 10 years to have it, and last week when he was about to pass the exam, the instructor got sick! A bizarre twist of fate, I ought to say.
Le lion is getting ready for his second trip of the year. I wonder if Prague is ready for him. The Dick Lorentz were not much in shape, as one of them had some terrible pain in the back. You know; we are not 18 anymore, and there are SOME things and postures we can’t do anymore… So no more “coup de reins” at least for some time. That’s what the doctor said.
Arthur gave us a private concert with his new and heavy friend, Mr. Accordion. I have the impression the instrument is heavier that he himself. I hope he will come soon back to Prague too. Roxy club is waiting for you!
So see you all on the 31st next month. We’ll say nashled to '06 and ahoj to '07.

and finally Sunday...
I'm laying on the couch trying to recover. The dancing queen needs to rest now. Last night we started in Localblock, then we went to a tiny "peniche" on the river, then to Futurum and end up at Valetino's. Matieu's friend was so happy to go there...
But unfortunately for me, this morning i found out i lost my glasses. How can anyone loose his glasses?... well i did. I can't find them anywhere. Even went back to Valentino's this afternoon, but no sign of them. I really hope to find them, mrd!!!! :(
Tomorrow i'll ask Kamila to call the taxi who took us back home. My very last hope.
I'm so silly sometimes...

Human Traffix this weekend.
Photo from Friday night at Roxy. This week Gemma and Moi are staying over. It's their first time in Prague and they seem to like it. It's a great city; and so romantic...
It's a pity for the weather. On Monday the temperatures felt to 0°C and even -3°C. On Thursday night it snowed. It’s like winter here. So cold! The worst is this frozen wind hat stabs you like dagger every time it blows.
On Halloween night Miguel organised a Party in St. Nicolas’ bar. We dressed up as the legendary Swedish band: “give me give me give me a man after midnight…”, “you are my dancing queen, young and sweet only 17…” No one recognised us; even though we attached letters to our back. We were 4; dressed up like in the 70’s, I don’t get it, it was obvious, right?
On Wednesday we went to Tropison and had some laughs while trying to dance some salsa. Completely free style. David is not much into this kind of music, but at least I managed to make him come to the dance floor twice with me. It was nothing close to salsa, but it was dead fun. 10 pts for me.
On Thursday we had a marvellous dinner in la Valetta. One of the best restaurants we know in this city.

The only place is town where you can enjoy an incredible mixture of new flavours, sweet and salty; simply breath taking. Once again, this time we had an extraordinary evening. We celebrated that Melanie found a job, that David is not going to Paris anymore, and… what the hell, that fact that we are such a bunch of great people, and that we still stick together. After 3 bottles of Rioja, 2 bottles of French Champaign and some drinks we went to Infinity. We closed the club and then we went down town for more. Everything was closed, so we ended in Bombay. We closed the place and went home. There we met Todd, nice American and owner of the Prague TV site.
On Friday, I woke up with a funny eye. Nothing serious but I had to go to the doctor. More or less I understood I have a little infection, due to the cold. I say more or less ‘cause the doctor didn’t speak English… not easy. I have to take some drops and no make up for 5 days.
Well, its Saturday evening and the weekend is still ON! We are invited to a birthday party in Andel. Miguel just called. Goody goody! Cata see you there!

Simplemente bello.

Say what you mean, mean what you say
So here I am, waiting for my man to come home, and sign peace. Simple as that.
The best thing about this “domestics” is what comes next. The kiss and make up thing, or as we say back home “borron y cuenta nueva”.
He’s the one, I know that, and I’m not going to spoil it this time. Ah ah! Not anymore.
A close friend is braking up with his girl. They have been together for long time now but it seems it was not meant to be. At least that is how they both feel. I know they’ll still be friends, although this might sound as a utopia, but I’m sure they will. He’s an extraordinary guy and so she is.
In a way I envy them. I’m not much in touch with my past relationships, almost at all. I guess I never talked enough, and when the breakup came, it was too late to try to end in good terms. So I really hope this is for the best, and that they’ll soon find that special person that makes this wacky life worth it.
This is for you and for her. Courage mes amis.

Saint-Sylvestre v Praze

Kiev International Airport 5 August ‘06

Y a la vuelta, seguimos de rally bajos los gritos enloquecidos del pelos “faster faster, i can go faster with my Clio form burgos!!” - NO COMMENT –

Once upon a time...
Me lo he pasado genial. Gracias toti, petr, xevi, tony y sylvia. Y sobretodo gracias a ti mi amor. GTM BOZ!

The legend of Bruncvík
"One day, I left my wife at home and set out on a journey. I had decided to gain a lion for the Czech crest. After many dangerous incidents, where I was the only to survive, I met a nine-head dragon fighting a lion in the forest. I took the lion’s side and helped it to kill the dragon. When it was all over, we both dropped down with exhaustion. Iwoke up first, and freaked out when I saw the lion sleeping next to me. We had fought the monster together, but how could I know I'd not be the wild animal's next prey?
So I climbed into a large tree and waited for the lion to wake up and go away. But when the lion woke up, he came to the base of my tree and waited there. I was tired, and sore, and hungry - but I stayed up in that tree. On the third day, I fell out of the tree. I was sick with fever, and too sick to move. For three more days, I lay at the bottom of that tree and all that time, the lion cared for me and brought me food, and nursed me back to health. After that, we became inseparable friends.
In later adventures I gained a magic sword, which overcame the enemies all by itself. All i had to do is say "Blade, heads off!" and off they rolled. It was great! On our journeys, myself and my dear friend the lion, proved our boldness and became very famous for our heroic deeds.
But after more than seven years, I felt it was time to go back home in Prague. To my very surprise, when we returned, I founded my wife Neomenia, celebrating her weeding. She though I would never return! So I snuck my wife's ring - which I had worn all the time on his adventures - into my wife's goblet of wine. When she drank her wine, and saw the ring, she recognized it immediately. She called the wedding off, thus sending her ex- bridegroom into a mad fury. Of course, she came back to me, and I took over the rule of the land for another 30 years. It is said I was wise and a just ruler, and that’s why the land blossomed under my rule. In honour of my faithful lion, I ordered the use of the crest with a white lion and a red background, which has been the symbol of the Czech Republic ever since.
The lion grew old by my side, and died of a broken heart just days after my death, sitting at the side of mygrave.
My miraculous sword was walled up in the pillar of Karlův Most, in the spot where a statue of my lion and myself stands today. When the dark hours will come, St Wenceslas will rise from the dead, take my sword, and save the day."

Pluto už není plenetou
Poor Pluto suddenly ripped off the solar system planet list. And why? Apparently a planet must be round, big, turn around the sun and have and original orbit… For me it seems quite big though, but it seems he copies Neptune’s orbit.
Never mind, some folks, 2500 so called scientist, got together here in Prague and decided that Mr.Pluto wouldn’t be a member of the club anymore. Maybe it’s better for him. Some times you don’t see that you’ll be better somewhere else, until they actually put you out the door. I think they had too much “pivo na hospodu” and decided it would be nice to have only 8 planets, you know to have even number. The world is endlessly changing; soon we’ll start seeing Tibetan monks on the phone…
So now we should call him “dwarf planet”.
“Hello my name is Pluto and I’m a dwarf planet” Poor guy…
I’m at work and the day is over. My Czech colleagues are playing golf in the open space. Yes golf. Don’t know who is winning but they seem very concentrated, even more that when dealing with tickets. At least this is a clear example of “team work”, they all want to have a try and the discuss plenty of things. But I can’t tell you what, as they keep speaking in Czech and I don’t get a thing.
I should pack my things and go too, but I have a salsa lesson at 6p.m. Maybe I’ll go to the mall to make some time.
Hezky víkend!

WORK
Have not much work to do. I keep on reading about payments, invoicing, cost managing, revenues, expenses and crazy staff like that. In fact it’s quite interesting, but reading all the time, it’s getting harder and harder. I need to get started in something more, lets say, exciting. I need adventure, excitement some stimulation. Otherwise, I’ll end up sleeping upon my desk.
SOCIAL LIFE
Apart from that, I keep meeting new people and new places from this incredible city. Last Friday we went to the Yacht Club - and yes, there’s one here – where an Australian party was being held. We had some drinks and dance. Nice. Then we went to Zero again and we ended the night in Mish-Mash. Last time we went there, I said it was the last time. Well, this time I must say the same thing. It’s quite a horrible and over flooded with hysterical young people place. We had too many drinks that night, so couldn’t say at what time we got home. So, Saturday just flied through. We stayed at home all day.
Then on Sunday we went on a tour with Emilie. Here's a view of Mala Strana & Stare Mesto from the mini eiffel tower in Kinski's park.
After we went dacing to the beach. Let me introduce you to my friend Kamila, she's simply great. It was hilarious to dance on the sand while the cuban musicians played.

LOVE
I’m lucky here! The sun, the stars and even the moon are on my side. Miluju te Boz!
HEALTH
I think I’m ok. I’ll see the doctor on the 31st for a check up, ‘till then lets say I feel fine.
MONEY
Uhhhh, no good at all.

Hard work for pumu

Pumuka, after a hard day of work.
We had a team exercise, during the training; i can't tell you much, but it was dead fun. We ran around Prague, trying to work as best as a team.
The truth is that i was exhausted, but not because of the exercise, but mainly because the previous night we went partying till 4, so i was desperately in need of a nice and long "siesta". As i said before, hard work for the lady!
But as you can see, with my team, we were always way ahead the competence!!!

Como de vuelta al cole
So, as I was saying I’ve been on a trip to this Far East country, which stands between Europe and Russia. It was more of a “last minute” decision, but it turn out to be a great experience. We were four. George and Ivan were looking forward to meet the Ukrainian female population, we all have heard about. For me, it was the closest I have been to a “Soviet” country, let’s say it this way. I know Prague’s been under the Soviet power for some long time, but it has changed a lot these past years. Ukraine, on the other hand, it’s a country that’s not used to have visitors, as it is happening nowadays. And you notice that straight away. For instance, hotels are expensive and not good quality at all. Another thing is that you hardly find information points, so most of the time is thanks to your guide or to what you “manage” to ask to locals, that you make your way through. I say MANAGE, because communication, most of the times is a big barrier problem. First, we had to learn the alphabet, so that at least we could more or less read. This was like a game for us, and George and I just loved it. We read everything we could, even if it had no sense at all!! Not a lot of people speak English there, it is always Russian or German, and of course Ukrainian. But that didn’t stop us from having a great time.
I will give you more details about this adventure soon. Wrapping up, I must say that this country that’s almost as big as France and Germany together is worth visiting. And not just because of the hot Ukrainian girls (and yes, I must admit they are “beyond belief”). It has an extremely interesting history and a lot to visit. Unfortunately Ukraine’s been through many wars due to its important geographical location and it’s been through a terrible nuclear disaster, that’s still today, 20 years after, is in everyone’s thoughts. But is a country willing to be open to foreigners and dreaming about sharing their culture. On the train back form Odessa to Kiev, we share the compartment with a man and a woman. Even though there was the language barrier, we were able to explain we were on a trip, visiting their country, and they were so pleased to hear that. George and Ivan, had a similar but funnier experience on another train, they shared compartment with an old Russian couple, that not only offered them some food, but went drinking vodkas all the way. Two bottles were done to be exact. Apparently the four of them ended completely drunk. ;) Borrachuzos!
Now, here I am, back in Prague. It looks as if the summer is almost over; the temperatures have gone drastically down, and it rains quite often. To je škoda. I’m back to work, yes after 6 months vacation I’m back to reality. So far, it’s not that hard. I’ve met a lot of nice people, from all around the world. In Prague’s office there are 60 nationalities working together out of 1800 employees, if my numbers are right… Not bad, right? Of course, we work in English, my Czech is not that good, but I’m pretty sure I’ll learn it - mostly because we are 20 on my team, all Czech except for me!

Still moving on!
I’m leaving in an hour to Lyon. I’ll stay a couple of Days at my fathers-in-law. My mum is also there. After Gemma and Moi’s wedding, my mum came with us back to Prague. It was her first time here and she loved it. It was great having her home, but I prefer it when I’m just with David.
Last news! We are going to Ukraine for a week with George of the jungle and his friend Ivan. We’re really looking forward for this trip, as it would be my last for this “non working” period I’m going through.
On the 7th I’ll become a worker as everybody else.
My taxi is waiting.

Tourism in Prague: Day 1
Victor & Stan are in town. Their plane was delayed, as usual, and they almost missed it, but after racing other passengers through the Orly satellites, they made it. They needed all night to recover from the sprint, but now here they are in Prague.Yesterday we went on a tour. We took the tram and we started our visit in Vaclavské náměsti. (Wenceslas square). This bustling centre of the city was once Prague’s main horse market. The site is placed in the Nové Město (New town), founded by Charles IV in 1348. Over the years it has been a regular parade ground for all kinds of organisations and political parties. From anti-communist uprisings to winning the World Ice Hockey Championships, this is where Czech's come to protest and to celebrate. The square is named after Saint Wencelas, son of Vratislav I, Duke of Bohemia. In 924 after gaining the throne at the age of eighteen, he promoted the spread of Christianity throughout Bohemia. He was murdered on his way to church by his brother Boleslaus, who succeeded him as the Prince of Bohemia. After his death, Wenceslaus was canonised as a saint due to his martyr's death.
We passed the Municipal House & Powder Tower and walked to the Old Town Square in Staré Město (Old Town). There we watched the astrinomical clock on the tower of the town hall. We made a short stop at the tourist office for some maps. They thought Stan was Polish, how strange is that? ;PAs a must-do in Prague, we crossed the Karlův most (Charles Bridge). For several centuries, this was the only bridge in Prague, with heavy traffic. At present the bridge is only open to pedestrians. It's always jam-packed with people morning, noon, or night, but the views are just great.
We spent the rest of the day in Malá Strana (The Little Quarter), one of the oldest parts in Prague.
The guys are really impressed with the girls around. It’s true that the czecks are very good looking, most of them. Of course, Stan says that in Ukrain is even better, but so far they are pleased. Victor heart is alos doing fine so far. “El aguila de navarra” and “le renard polonais” really like it here, or so it seems. Today they’ve gone to visit Prague’s Castle on their own, I only hope they wont “bite” anyone… :)

The cat
My name is Aramis, I was born on the 17 February ’05 in Bourgogne. I was raised by my mother Tresor and with my sister Atlanta. I’m a Rex Devon. At first glance you might think I’m a rather odd looking curly-haired kitten. This is normal because of my unusual features. I have huge ears, a pixie-like face with large inquisitive eyes and a short slightly upturned nose.I’m amazingly warm to the touch due to a lighter, less insulating coat, that’s why you often found me lounging on the television or over de laptop. On chilly nights, I’m a superb bed warmer, and I love to sneak under the covers to stay warm and share body heat with my masters.
It is said that we are like a cross between a cat, a monkey, and "Dennis the Menace." The truth is that I’m very active and playful. I love jumping around and exploring new places. But what I prefer the most is being next to my people, perched on a shoulder or lying over David while he watches the TV.

Aramis, ce petit con...
Dick Lorentz in action.
The electronic barbecue was great. Everything worked out fine. It didn’t rain; we had enough watts to stay awake all night. I did try to sleep between 4 and 6, but I didn’t get much rest. The sun came out and we were still in the same place, dancing, drinking, and laying next to the fire… Accidentally the coffee machine was broken, so no coffee. At noon we were back to T&S place. All the machines had been packed and the place cleaned. Some overslept on the couch, on the floor, but with Rob and Tof we had a DVD session of old French films. 3 in a go! But the worst part was to come. I had a terrible phone call… Aramis had disappeared during the night. While we where having fun somewhere in Dijon’s countryside, our cat had done the same, up the roofs of Paris. We guessed he had escaped out the window (of a fifth floor building), and the possibilities were:
+ He’s somewhere in the roof, lost and can’t come back
+ He’s in a neighbour’s house
+ He’s fallen (this was the most terrifying scheme)
+ He’s playing seek and hide (I hope for him this isn’t the case)
Is he hurt? Is he ok? Is he hungry? Will we see him again? It felt awful. I didn’t know how much I cared for that dumb cat. I cried; I was desperate. The little bastard gave me such a fright…
At the end, a neighbour found him in his apartment. :) She had been out for the weekend. Fortunately it was only for the weekend and not on holidays, we wouldn’t have never found him!So it seems we have a happing ending to this trip to Paris. France didn’t win the world cup but Aramis is coming back home with us. That’s all that matters to me now.
Merci les bleus en tout cas!!

Signed for freedom
Yesterday, 7th of July, started the San Fermines. This spanish "fiesta" is well known all around the globe, thanks to adepts such as Hemingway. Young and not so young prepare all year long fo this. They have to run, as fast as they can, while followed by bulls. This might sound crazy, but people wait anxiously for this fiesta to come. Of course, once the bulls are safely taken to the arena, the party goes on until the day wakes up again for the next corrida.Somehow, i feel as if i too, had run before a bull. And i can tell you i won the race. Of couse this is a methaphore i'm using here. Yesterday i set my feet in Axe France for the very last time. And it feels great. I signed the papers, and i'm officially free. I'm not a puppet on the hands of incompetent managers anymore. I'm really looking foward fo this new job. I'm starting the 7th August.
I's funny, my Acc experience started the 03/03 and ended he 07/07.
Now the page has been turned, and an empty one is now waiting to be written.
We're in Dijon for the weekend, visiting our crazy friends from Louhans. We're all meeting this afternoon, tony, sylvia, le lion, rob, tof. Tonight they have organised a "barbacue electronique". The concept is easy, you have to bring yout own food & drinks and Konectic takes care of the music. Konectic was borned a month ago, but the idea is 4 yeas old now. This asociation will lift the "dijonnaise music scene", the aim is open barriers to all those who experience with new audio and visual techniques. Tonight's festival is not a premier, but it will be their springboard to fame. We'll hear a lot more about Konectic.
The sound will start at 7p.m and won't be turned off before 9a.m.
Are you ready for bouncing over pounding techno music all night long?

What next? France – Italy on the finals
On the metro I decided to go to the movies. It is morning I know, but it’s the best time. Not too much people and the price it’s quite inviting. “Paris je t’aime”. Why not, a film about Paris while I’m in Paris, and about love, now that I found true love…?
I recognised almost every place the five minutes stories where filmed. The metro, the north station, Montparnass, Père-Lachaise, le Marais… My favourite story? Let me think, the story in “Quais de Seine”. It takes place just here, where we are staying in, next to the “Jardin de plantes”. Also I loved the way the story in Faubourg Saint-Denis is filmed. I could tell my own stories about these places...maybe someday i will.
+ Montmartre by Bruno Podalydès
+ Quais de Seine by Gurinder Chadha
+ Le Marais by Gus Van Sant
+ Tuileries by Joel and Ethan Coen
+ Loin du 16e by Walter Salles and Daniela Thomas
+ Porte de Choisy by Christopher Doyle
+ Bastille by Isabel Coixet
+ Place des Victoires by Nobuhiro Suwa
+ Tour Eiffel by Sylvain Chomet
+ Parc Monceau by Alfonso Cuaron
+ Quartier des Enfants Rouges by Olivier Assayas
+ Place des fêtes by Oliver Schmitz
+ Pigalle by Richard LaGravenese
+ Quartier de la Madeleine by Vincenzo Natali
+ Père-Lachaise by Wes Craven
+ Faubourg Saint-Denis by Tom Tykwer
+ Quartier Latin by Gérard Depardieu and Frédéric Auburtin
+ 14e arrondissement by Alexander Payne
After the cinema, a young man came to me, and started flirting with me. I found that funny, he seemed a nice guy and we both laugh when I showed him my ring (my precious). It’s the first time I use it this way, and I liked the effect.
It was time for some shopping and I still haven’t found my shoes for the wedding. But I did find something else instead, and of course I bought it. My husband is going to kill me, but what was he thinking when he proposed to come to Paris while on sales!! So I spend the rest of the day wandering around the crowded shops. I was so absorbed in my search that I forgot to eat. In a way I saved 7€ …
For the semi-fianls match we went to a terrace near la “rue Mouffetard”. The place was, nice, and ambient was hot, but the prices where too high! 8€ for a pint!!! What a robbery!! :(
France took the lead over a penalty Zizu didn’t missed. It was an exiting match, both teams seeked for a goal desperately, but the goals never came. So at the end France 1 : Portugal 0.
We’ll se on the finals!!! France – Italy, it’s going to be hot hot HOT!
I like it hot! :)

No he podido evitarlo, o si?

Brasil 0 : France 1, and what next?
We’re back in Paris. The city is facing a hot summer but that doesn’t stop citizens from going out. We can read “soldes” on every corner, and this turns people crazy. Shops are like battle fields!! For once, I really don’t feel like shopping, but yesterday I could help it. It was stronger than me, so I bought a present for Elisa, and high heel shoes for me.
Last night we had some people over for a drink. The dream team got together once more, Marilyn, Chafik, Sophie and Maite. We have taken different roads, except for Chafik and Sophie that are working together in a new project. They all seemed ok. I only hope that after her fabulous trip to Cambodge, Marilyn will find an interesting project too. She deserves it, in fact we all do!
Tonight France is facing Brazil. It’s going to be an attractive match. The guys will be glued to the screen once more. I hope ‘les bleus’ win, as I’d like to go out tonight!! And I want some happy faces!!
Pues que gane el mejor!!!
POST-MATCH:
« On est on demieee, on est on demieee, on est on est on est en demieeeeee! »
http://www.lemonde.fr/web/portfolio/0,12-0@2-669420,31-790950@51-734920,0.html
French have gone completely crazy. The ambiance was great, lots of people on the streets, screaming, singing, shouting, dancing… hilarious! I don’t know how it’s going to be like if they win next match. The party went on all night!
Unfortunately for us, when we left from Ramon’s house (congratulations Ramon for your new adventure, wish you de best!), we couldn’t find a free cab anywhere. This would never happen in Prague. It’s was 1a.m so no metro and the night bus, they simply were “no where to be seen”. I think drivers were celebrating too. So we walked, and we walked, and we walked… St. Placide –> Bastille = 1hour & 30 minutes.
We even tried the absynt to make our way easier, but that stuff is really something, woao!! And of course we had to make a stop as Victor had to change... At least we had some time to rest.
We were KO afterwards. We came too late to Stan’s party. Most of the people were gone and the ambient was quite calmed. So after a couple of drinks we decided to come back home. This time we were lucky and managed to grab a taxi. Hurray!!!
“ On est en taxiii, on est on taxiii, on est on est on est en taxiiiiiiiii” :)

Bye bye miss aperican pie!

What can i say… they won… we lost :)
Life has mysterious ways…
In Prague the sun is hiding, the clouds and the rain are back. I’m sorry for the Spanish team; we had hoped for a different ending.
We kissed bye bye to the world cup. We’ll have to wait four more years, maybe by then…
But the good new is that apparently i found a job. My candidature has been taken! At last i can defenitively say bye bye to Acc.

Veremos si me llaman.

On Friday, after my “čestinu lekce”, my classmate Darryl and I went to our weekly appointment on Riegrovy sady. Spain was applying with Arabia Saudi. We arrived for the second half; Spain was ahead with 1 goal. So we had the speciality of the house, “pivo a fotbal”. We were sharing table with a group of English that were on “bachelor weekend”. Apparently they took a plane back in Liverpool at 6a.m. and they had been drinking since that early hour. I was quite surprised that some of them could even speak! We met Darren (Darryl & Darren what a coincidence), a really nice fellow; he too was getting married in exactly a year time. We had a really interesting conversation about the variety of cultures around the globe. He had travelled a lot in a previous job as a consultant for a company that some how I know very well. I used to work for them too, what a coincidence, right?
I stayed with Darren when Darryl left to join Miša. “Jestě dvakrat” and we had two more beers. Then David came with the rest of the troupe. It was 9p.m and France was facing a crucial match against Togo. If they cared about moving to the next round, they had to win, no matter how! On the French side, my friends were pretty nervous. Togo strike first. France – Togo: 0-1. “Les Bleus” missed lots of chances in the first half. However Patrick Vieira and Thierry Henry put that right in the second half, which was a big relief for the guys that were glued to the big screen. France – Togo: 2-1 I stopped counting the beers. And in the end we were all so happy that we change to vodkas. After my second one, I had “blackout”. I have a vague clue of what happened next. I remember Darryl and Miša came back. But I wasn’t feeling ok, so we want back home and the result were a nice hangover and my camera gone. I don’t know how, but the only thing I have is an empty case. “To je skoda”, as I had some nice photos on it. Shame on me!
So Saturday happened to be a hard day for me. We didn’t do anything especial at all, except going to the supermarket. In the evening we had dinner with Morvan in a pizzeria in Anděl. Not bad. Later we were joined by Guillaume and the night followed as usual, some drinks in Zero and next the Roxy Club. The music was quite good at the beginning, but we left early. My body still was in “pain” form the previous night.
Today I feel MUCH better! It’s the Red bull Flying contests this afternoon; So we’ll go and see if any of those wicked machines manages to fly. Unfortunately I won’t be able to take any photos… shame on me!
Ahhh and one more thing. The most beautiful thing happened last night. At midnight, my dearest friend Elena gave birth to Elisa. Both are doing great and I’m very happy for them. The father too, his doing fine. Bravo to the three, and welcome Elisa.

Praha 3
His coming to visit us in Prague in a couple of weeks with the craziest French-polish guy I have ever met, Stan; Last year we went to Copenhagen together and we had a great time in Olaf’s nest. Somehow I have the feeling it’s going to be even better this time in Prague. I haven’t warned the blond female population yet, of their arrival. I’ll just go around the city and distribute some flyers: “Pozor, V&S budou z Praze příští týden”
Nah, I’m just kidding, they are like the 100% of the hetero male population. And I like them just the way they are. I hope they bring their “petit futé” along; it won’t be the same without it.

So for them, here are some photos of the side of Prague that you don’t see on guides. A hint, its Prague 3, near my Check school.

Someone needs a ride?

La estación veraniega comenzó a las 14.26 horas
This morning I woke up late and decided to prepare something especial. I must say I’m a terrible cook, whenever I try to cook something different it turns out bad. Today I was on the mood for cooking a desert. I recently learned how to say that in check: “Mám dobrou náladu pro vařine dezert” This reminds me I haven’t done my homework yet…
So, as I should have guess, cooking an apple strudel is not simple... for me. I must be crazy, the oven rose the temperature in the apartment up to 30°C, what was I thinking of? Pleasing my man? First I struggle with the dough; I couldn’t get it thin enough at it kept sticking to my fingers, to the plate, to the roll. There was flour all over me, and all over the kitchen. And I didn’t strictly follow the recipe, so the dough melted when I poured the hot apples - I was supposed to wait ‘till they cooled down. :(
I managed to create something not too horrible; I don’t know if we’ll eat it, but in the end it was fun.
Here’s my little monster… (maybe with a nice decoration...)

And this is how it should look like…

Today is ‘la fête de la musique’, if you’re in Prague, see you in Prague 5 - Smíchov
