Destination Srch

Ahoj,

It’s almost 14h00. Today we are heading to Srch. It’s Tomas’ birthday. We’ll be around all these Czech people; I hope we are able to communicate with them. After a couple of beers I know it’ll be OK…

It’ll be fine. It’s the first time travelling by train. It’s not far, about an hour trip. People say the hardest thing is understanding the name of the next stop when announced, by the way, how do you pronounce Srch?

We’ll stay there for night at the only Pezion Pluto, yes like the famous dog… at least this is easy to remember and say!

Train Ex521 Praha - Pardubice. We'll be back tomorrow.

风水

Pleople need to beleve... why shouldn't we?

Feng shui is the ancient Chinese practice of placement and arrangement of space to achieve harmony with the environment. The literal translation is "wind and water".

Internal Guidelines:
* When you are sitting at a desk, the entrance door should be in a clear line of sight, and you should have a view of as much of the room as possible.
Pumu -> I can’t see much from my desk (because of the walls around it, and mainly because of my 1,60m), even though I do have a view when I stretch my neck.

* When lying in bed, the entrance door should not be directly facing the soles of one's feet. In other words, the end of the bed should not be in line with the door.
Pumu -> No door at my feet, neither when lying on the bed nor on the couch.

* Straight lines and sharp corners are to be avoided, and especially should not point where people tend to sit, stand, or sleep.
Pumu -> No, I don’t think that happens in the office. The corners are facing the middle of the tables, where no one sleeps, ups I mean sits.

* Avoid clutter.
Pumu -> Sometimes I can’t help it. And I do tidy up from time to time. It just gets so messy without me even noticing…

* Keep tops of tables simple. Avoid over decorating tables with objects and clutter. Those objects represent piles of stress and bad luck you could/will be carrying. You should be able to sit at a table and have an open view in front of you.
Pumu -> Mmm. I should work on this one.

* Your stairs should never face the front door.
Pumu -> No stairs at home. Do architects have this is mind? I think this rule is somehow always respected…

* Some objects are believed to have the power of redirecting, reflecting, or shifting energy in a space. These include mirrors, crystals, windchimes, and pools of flowing or standing water.
Pumu -> So… what with these things? Again, no pool at home (unfortunately).

FI memories

One more post dedicated to them, the good friends. Let me introduce you to the friends from college. We just had turned 18 when we met. We spent so much time together in the FI , apparently one of the must “wanted” universities in Spain for Computer science studies. Check the link. Well I guess is not because of operating systems teacher "spooky de Miguel", or maybe yes? We was as hard as a rock, but maybe that was the only way to force us to study a little bit. He was so tough on us… ahh i know it's because of the little lake and the fierce gooses...

Here we are, summer 2005 – barbecue at my parent’s house in Madrid – we were celebrating that I was getting married.

I’m gazing throught the web site (it has change since last time I checked it, don’t really remember when that was…), and what do I find, that now students applying for Erasmus have the chance to study in Berlin, AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! A dream come true... too late. I would have loved to go there. Can’t explain but I love that city. But, Paris was great, no regrets!!! I can also see 7 vacancies for Prague - Ceské Vysoké Uceni Tecniké v Praze – Jorge you would have loved that, right? And there’s also Lodz in Poland!

And yes life changes. Have we changed too?

And here they are again, Mai 2006 - Ivana must be assaulting the canapés – on the wedding day… Juanca always making faces...

Dreamgrils, pufff!

Yesterday, cinema evening with Ruxi. We decided to go for a girly film, as the guys where staying home. And what a mistake!!

Really; we didn’t like it. It seems that the original idea comes from a Broadway musical; and somehow we misread this fact from the synopsis.

I do like musicals, for real. Chicago was really good. “and all that jazzzzzz”. My sweetheart Danilac is even writing one…

But this one… there was too much singing, far too loud –not even the little mermaid sang so much- and of course there was no story behind. How did those two get together? And why is he marrying girl no. 2 when he was going out with girl no.1? Or did i get it al worng? And suddenly they are super mega rich? And why is the other one on drugs? And i'm pretty sure HE was not the only one... Really we were completely lost. I thought it was going to be like Ray, a brilliant film that played the artist life, like a fine melody. A delicious cocktail of his greatest hits and his turbulent life. Great film.

Back to the caca film; at the end, they all fucked each other, but hey “we are all family” so they were happy ever after… come’on!!!

For the record, here’s a photo of the real dream girls!!!

The photo is from Halloween last year. I’m with Catalina (Colombia) and Ruxi (Romania).
