Un breton a poile dans le canapé

You know, this can happen to you! Not that it did to me, but I turns out I know this “Breton”. Too many drinks, an unfamiliar place and you fall all sleep in the first place you find. Naked of course…

Well, back to my trip to London. Monday was me and my Chardonnay, but the rest of the week happen to be very interesting. Unexpected I must say.

TUESDAY
After the second day of training I met Ian from Liverpool. Cool guy that invited me to go to the city centre, where he was meeting a friend. Frank also from Liverpool. The journey on the tube was never-ending, 45 mins on Picadilly line and then almost 15mins waiting for the exchange train that would take us to Nothing Hill. Once there a worthy pint was waiting for us. Then we went for dinner to a Turkish restaurant. Quite deceiving, but we had fun there. The waitress was Brazilian, and was her 2nd day in the job and in London. It took us a while to order… and even more to ask for the wine. After me rushed for Soho where we enchained the bars until we ended in O’Conners, or something like this. Live music and more drinks. We took a cab back to the hotel. I don’t remember who paid the car, but I have the receipt. Maybe i did...

WEDNESDAY
Hard morning couldn’t leave the bed on time for the training. Shame on me, I know. After much struggling for a couple of hours I manage to get ready for another day of learning. Of course I was late, veeeery late. Shame on me! In the evening I was meeting Lenka, a colleague from Prague also at London that week. Greg ,French class mate, came with us. We went to an Italian restaurant in south Kensington. Not very good. Then we went for a drink (again) and took the last train home. In the subway, it was like an mad house. People completely stunned everywhere. Some couldn’t even walk at all while others were spilling out their entrails eveywhere. It was incredible (disgusting), on a Wednesday at just 00h00!!

THURSDAY

On Thursday we were invited to a X-mas lunch in the training centre. Lovely! The food as usual, what can I say… Back at the hotel I decided to exercise a bit. I went for some fitness and sauna. Very relaxing. To the point of seriously thinking about staying in my room. But, this little voice kept reminding me that it was my last night in the city… So I got dressed and went to burn the London night for a last time. It was Greg’s birthday; we went for Japanese, very funny as it was his first time dealing with the sushi and the maki. Then we went for some drinks and we ended in O’Conners again; the next morning woke us up in a club. Just time to get back to the hotel, quick shower and speed check out. I was only 5 minutes late! :)

FRIDAY
I will only say it was a long day, even though we finished at 14h. In the airport I thought I was not going to make it, what a caos! But here I am now, back and safe in Prague.

SATURDAY…
Wild night, as usual. Beers at Derek’s bar, dinner at Nostress, then visit to Casa Blu, dances at Zero, break in Bombay, more dances at Roxy and closing in Studio 54. As I said, it was wild!

Me and my Chardonnay

Dinning alone, what’s the big deal? People don’t like eating by themselves, but lots of people do, every day, and in fact it’s not that bad. You have time to think deeply; time to talk to your inner you. This might sound crazy, but that’s exactly what I am doing tonight. Dinner tonight is a buffet, quite “correct” I must say. I’m also having a Chardonnay glass, especially revitalizing.

But who am I trying to fool… it’s always better with company. But not any company, of course, otherwise I prefer just me and my Chardonnay.

This afternoon I went to the pool. The healthy club it’s open until 10p.m. This time I have no excuse. The hotel has a nice fitness and pool center. In overall is ok, but far from NH Aviles. But that’s one of a kind. Such a charming hotel…mmmm

But I must say that for an English hotel, food it’s quite acceptable. I ate everything. After the swimming, the jacuzzi and the sauna, the Mrs. was hungry. I didn’t take much quantity, but I devoured almost everything I took. People go nuts in buffets, so much food is wasted. I remember in Las Vegas, in the morning buffet, so many foodstuffs were literally sent to the trash… simply unacceptable.

Maybe I shouldn’t have taken a glass of wine tonight. But somehow, I feel less lonely. Me and my Chardonnay. Should I get a desert? I can see lots of cakes on the counter…but the truth is I’m full. And I have fruit from lunch, up in the room. No desert for Mrs.

I feel great after the swim. I used to go swimming quite often as a teenager back in high school; several times every week. If I had trained more, I could have tried to take it more seriously. I was never brilliant at sports, but I was good in the water. :) Somehow my body is good for that, not that I can breathe under the water, or anything of that kind. The thing is I loved to do much stuff at the same time; I would have never dedicated all my time to just one fixation.

At that time I also sang on a band. So much fun, mostly because it was a secret, as my father had forbidden me to do so… Those days I wanted to be a singer… like Liz Phair with her “fuck&run”. Loved those punk days…

Pumu and Mr.V

Last saturday at Roxy - Praha

04 diciembre, 2006

Monday is over...

On Saturday apart form Mr.V there was another live going on in Dijon city. Dick Lorentz was playing live again. This time we missed it, sorry. We tried to follow the radio program on Thursday, but the connexion was terrible.

You may bring your "mathos" for new years eve… :)

Monday it’s almost over, thank god! It’s been quite a long day at work, and I still need some rest to get over this weekend. Ruxi is giving a farewell party tomorrow in Aloha Club. It’s a pity she’s leaving, but it’s better for her. I understand her completely.

Now, who am I going to have breakfast with? I will be on my own, the only one in the team non Czech speaker. It’s going to be rough. Fine, if they speak Czech I will speak Spanish…to myself as there will be no one to answer me back…or maybe yes…

I will teach them!!! EA!

What else can i say…

Simply hilarious!!!

Ptit Pascalou came and took us along for a hard to describe trip.

The first bits and every single muscle started moving in perfect harmony. The crow was out of control, pounding like maniacs. No time, no stress, only music.

Two dates, Friday in Brno and next day in Prague. But it was far much better in Roxy. The ambiance, the people, the club, everything. It was a exceptional night; many people came just to see him. Maxime, Guillaume’s friend was also good, really good.

Terrible live Vitalic! Really you made us move last night. Thanks for such a throbbing live!

Wish you all had been there to feel it too. As Tony says: “on reviendra!”

‘Till then…
