Fairless on your breath

There’s nothing more real and alive than a heartbeat. I still remember the first time we heard yours… it was going wildly fast. I could hear it on top of mine. Music to my ears.

Gentle impulsion
Shakes me, makes me lighter
Fearless on my breath
Teardrop on the fire
Fearless on my breath…

Initially the band sent the song demo to Madonna as they wanted her to record the vocals for the song, but in the end the chosen one was the Scottish singer Elizabeth Fraser from "The Cocteau Twins". She also wrote the song’s lyrics and gave vocals to Black Milk (track no. 8)

I must have listened to this album a thousand times. I would say this band gave birth to the so called Trip hop (especially with their debut’s Blue Lines)

Here goes Song #5 :

Teardrop – Massive Attack
3rd album Mezzanine (1998)
released as a single on 27 April 1998
