风水

Pleople need to beleve... why shouldn't we?

Feng shui is the ancient Chinese practice of placement and arrangement of space to achieve harmony with the environment. The literal translation is "wind and water".

Internal Guidelines:
* When you are sitting at a desk, the entrance door should be in a clear line of sight, and you should have a view of as much of the room as possible.
Pumu -> I can’t see much from my desk (because of the walls around it, and mainly because of my 1,60m), even though I do have a view when I stretch my neck.

* When lying in bed, the entrance door should not be directly facing the soles of one's feet. In other words, the end of the bed should not be in line with the door.
Pumu -> No door at my feet, neither when lying on the bed nor on the couch.

* Straight lines and sharp corners are to be avoided, and especially should not point where people tend to sit, stand, or sleep.
Pumu -> No, I don’t think that happens in the office. The corners are facing the middle of the tables, where no one sleeps, ups I mean sits.

* Avoid clutter.
Pumu -> Sometimes I can’t help it. And I do tidy up from time to time. It just gets so messy without me even noticing…

* Keep tops of tables simple. Avoid over decorating tables with objects and clutter. Those objects represent piles of stress and bad luck you could/will be carrying. You should be able to sit at a table and have an open view in front of you.
Pumu -> Mmm. I should work on this one.

* Your stairs should never face the front door.
Pumu -> No stairs at home. Do architects have this is mind? I think this rule is somehow always respected…

* Some objects are believed to have the power of redirecting, reflecting, or shifting energy in a space. These include mirrors, crystals, windchimes, and pools of flowing or standing water.
Pumu -> So… what with these things? Again, no pool at home (unfortunately).
